Greetings, guests!
As I'm sure you're all aware, the boat's been through a bit of a mishap. So, Captain Rowe thought it was best if they docked for few days to give the Black Tide some much needed R&R. She has, therefore, sought refuge at a neutral port at the Isle del Sol. And here is a basic rundown of what can be found there:
- All passengers will be assigned a small clay hut. The island natives live in beautiful houses, but they’ve made space for Rowe’s passengers in the huts.
- At night, there is a bonfire on the beach. Parties and the like will be hosted there by the Natives and characters are welcomed to attend. But please note: The local food that comes from dishes all shimmers (making it distinguishable from ship food) and it is NOT edible for passengers! Natives will warn them not to eat the sparkling food, but those that do will become ill immediately with severe burns where their bare flesh has touched the food. If your character does eat the food, they will have to seek treatment from Kenna. Food that is edible has been prepared and brought on shore. It does not sparkle or shimmer and appears normal. Eat that!
-The island is dotted with marvelous shrines. Inside, there are small fountains that drip single drops of a multicoloured metal liquid. The Natives collect each drop and mix the substance into their food. Touching the liquid will result in severe burns and vomiting, as well as a trip to the sickbay if your character wants to avoid death.
-The rest of the island is a very peaceful, very hot island paradise. Palm trees, sparkling water, monkeys and birds chatter in the trees, coconut crabs scurry this way and that and in the forest an elephant trumpets. Go enjoy!
